About this Presentation:

In this presentation, you’ll learn about the award-winning Container Demonstration Garden at Cocoa Cinnamon in Durham and the lessons we’ve learned over 5 years of creating and maintaining the garden. We’ll discuss the elements identified as critical to success in container gardening including plant choices, growing media, drainage, irrigation, and sun exposure. We’ll talk about which plants thrived, which struggled, and which ones couldn’t survive the conditions. We’ll show how we’ve maximized necessary tasks like dividing grasses and perennials as opportunities to offer classes to container gardeners. And finally, we’ll pass on some creative ideas like container crevice gardens, so at the end of the presentation you’ll be ready to create your own container garden.

The presentation will be recorded for

members to view later in our Video Library.
