The link to the GAONC Newsletter is emailed to members quarterly.   Past issues are archived and available to members.

We are only able to produce and publish our newsletter due to the efforts of our amazing volunteer authors and our newsletter editor.

Submission Guidelines

Our Audience:  Our newsletter is published for our members, with some articles made available to the public.  We're writing for people who are gardening enthusiasts and life long learners just like you.  If you are ok with have your article made available to the public, please be sure to mention that in your submission email, otherwise we will assume you prefer writing for GAONC members.

Topics: We take any and all gardening related article submissions!   Seasonally timed articles are very helpful.  We invite you to choose a topic that interests you and write about it.  We love to learn.  

Content:  There is no word limit on submitted articles.  We reserve the right to edit.  Please include photos!  Photo captions and attributions are required.  If the photo contains people, please provide their names in the caption.  Images of children will not be used.

Format:  The format for submissions is a Word document included as an email attachment.  If you do not have Word, please create your document as a google doc and then download it in a .docx format.  Font, spacing, and margins don't matter because all submissions will be converted to Arial font and formatted to fit the online newsletter layout. 

Please note that we can not go to a website and copy an article from that location, even if you are the author of the article. We must have articles submitted to us.

Resources:  If you are providing gardening information or recommendations, please include links to references and resources in your submission.  

Author Bio: If you have never submitted an article, please make sure to include a brief bio.  We love to help our readers learn about our newsletter contributors.

AI:  We DO NOT accept AI generated content for publication.

     Summer Issue - April 30
     Fall Issue - July 31
     Winter Issue - October 31
