About this Presentation:

Do you live on the coast? Are you interested in updating your yard or garden with environmentally friendly practices? Jane Harrison of North Carolina Sea Grant will offer tips on creating a coastal landscape that benefits both local ecology and your community. Ideas presented are sourced from the Coastal Landscapes Initiative, a collaborative effort to address landscaping at every stage of the process, from planning and design to installation and management. You will learn how to foster coastal landscapes that are beautiful, functional, cost-efficient and environmentally friendly.

The presentation will be recorded for 

members to view later in our Video Library.


About Our Speaker: 

Jane Harrison is North Carolina Sea Grant’s coastal economics specialist, and an early collaborator with the Coastal Landscapes Initiative. She works with the state’s nursery and landscaping industry to identify and promote nature-enhancing practices like cultivation of native plants and appropriate landscaping designs for the coastal environment. NC Sea Grant is a NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) program based at NC State University.
