About Our Speaker:

Maria Beebe is currently retired from Kansas State University.  She became interested in natural dyes after taking a class with her daughter at the Lawrence Arts Center about 10 years ago.  This interest and the ability she developed led was shared in a similar workshop (to great reviews) at the 2023 International Master Gardener Conference.  She loves to garden.  Her motto with gardening is to grow plants with a purpose.  So natural dyes fit perfectly.  In addition, she am an avid knitter and love exploring other fiber arts.
