About:
As the interest in native plants continues to grow, how do we help supplement a market that's struggling to keep up with demand? Craig Maxwell, Southern Piedmont chapter chair for the NC Native Plant Society, will talk about how to get the most out of native seeds and why it is a preferred propagation method for so many native plant enthusiasts. He'll also discuss ethical harvesting practices and ideas on how to start native seed banks in your area.
The presentation will be recorded for
members to view later in our Video Library.
About our Speaker:
Craig Maxwell has been the Southern Piedmont chapter chair for the NC Native Plant Society since the start of 2022. His interest in native plants started during 2020, when he joined the NC Native Plant Society as a video editor for their YouTube channel. As chapter chair, Craig has been organizing guest speakers, native garden installations, and invasive plant removals.
