About our Speaker:

Morgan Menaker grew up in Union County North Carolina attending Marvin Ridge High School. After high school he attended the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA, where he received his BS in Biology and was commissioned into and served in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant Armor Officer, leading tank crewman and reconnaissance scouts. He was honorably discharged in 2020 as a First Lieutenant. In 2021, Morgan simultaneously started an internship at the world famous Metrolina Greenhouses and began a Graduate level certificate program in horticulture science at NC State. After working at Metrolina for about a year Morgan accepted the position of Horticulture Agent for NC Cooperative Extension based in Cabarrus County.  Morgan has been married for four years, has two cats, welcomed a baby boy into the world in February and spends his off-time tending to houseplants.
