Speaker: Sarah Pounders, Education Specialist at KidsGardening.org
It is never too early to introduce a child to the world of gardening. Gardens offer an abundance of benefits for kids and their families however, many just do not know how to get started. In this presentation, KidsGardening's Education Specialist Sarah Pounders will share ideas and resources to help you engage kids and their families in your community through fun and educational gardening activities.
The presentation will be recorded for NCEMGVA members to view later.
About our Speaker:
Sarah Pounders is a Senior Education Specialist at Kidsgardening and has been active in the field of youth gardening for over 25 years with experience coordinating numerous children’s gardens, writing curricula and activities for youth of all ages, teaching formal and informal youth education programs, and conducting educator training sessions. She also enjoys gardening at home with her two children and volunteering with local school garden programs.
