About our Speaker:
Sam Fleming is the co-founder and Executive Director of 100 Gardens. Sam is a Charlotte native who grew up a competitive swimmer, then saw his academic and athletic performance drop in high school as he became unengaged with school. Deciding to skip college and go straight to work, Sam landed a retail job in the hydroponics industry. After developing his growing skills, Sam met Ron Morgan, an architect with big dreams. Ron invited Charlie Oliphant to join the team, and 100 Gardens was created in 2012.
About 100 Gardens:
100 Gardens is a non-profit with aquaponics programs in 16 schools and two correctional centers.
***Master Gardeners - this program has been approved in advance for continuing education credit in Cabarrus, Durham, Johnston, and Vance-Warren Counties. Please check with your agent.
